- Your systems is the most important part of your entire project. Imagine not being able to flush your toilet, have a shower or bath and not being able to do laundry. The investment that you have in your septic system is more important than any fixture or feature that you have placed in your home. It's all worthless if your system does not work. Please respect it and with some tips indicated below your system should be relatively trouble free.
- Use biodegradable soaps. Soaps with fillers can clog up your system.
- Try and spread out your laundry over a period of days. This will prevent overloading of the system
- your system requires maintenance. Please read the maintenance requirements for your system. Everyone is different.
- Pump out your trash tank or septic as required but never longer than 5 years. Depending on number of folks in your home at any given time pumping might need to be much sooner.
- Flushing of pressure distribution lines should be considered every few years.
- Changing out the float switches manufacturers recommend every 3 years
- The filter provided with your system should be flushed out yearly.
